The police novel is different from other novels Because it plays a big role in motivating the reader. We note that the entire Arabic literature is almost devoid of this type, i.e. the police novel. Its scope is crime, investigation and the search for a solution in the end. Finding it is difficult, and if we find this type, we find it an attempt that does not rise to the level required in the detective novel. Perhaps the motive for doing this study in the field of the police novel under the title “The Structure of Formation and Connotation in the Police Novel “King of India” is our passion to go through this experience and choose a Lebanese police novelist model. Because it is considered one of the police novels of the novelist Jabbour Douaihy. During this study, we tried to answer the following essential question. What is the maturity of the police novel in Arabic and Lebanese literature? And how did the police syllabus appear in the novel “The King of India”? In order to answer these questions, we chose an approach that we use in theory and application, which is the descriptive approach in dealing with the narrative body by describing at one time and extrapolating events and facts at another time.
