The postmodern novel w::as char::acterized by a number of characteristics, and among these characteristics, the research attempts to monitor the forms of fragmentation in the postmodern novel, as some postmodern novelists relied on this new narrative technique that works to fragment the narrative plot and break the organized linear narrative. The fragmented novel represented the greatest influence in postmodern literature as a new vision that suits the requirements of the era because of its ability to create new rules that differ from traditional rules. From this standpoint, fragmentation is one of the features of the postmodern novel, which is the shift away from tradition and away from regularity, cohesion and codification in the fictional text, and it is the most obvious way to expand the horizons of the new novel. The novel “Warraq Al-Hob” by “Khalil Sweileh” represents a good example of a post-modern novel because it included forms of fragmentation in the narrative that includes forms of fragmentation in the narrative. The importance of our research was evident in the fact that the novel “Khalil Sweileh” is a powerful and influential exploration of the fragmentation and dispersion that exists within society, and it is a commentary on the human condition in a world characterized by division and irregularity. Through our study of this novel through the descriptive- analytical approach, we saw that one of the most prominent features of fragmentation in this novel are the fragmentation in the plot, the fragmented space-time structure, the absence of a story, and The writer’s freedom from all restrictions and fragmented writing. we also concluded that fragmentation indicates the idea of chaos and the shattered existence that the characters live, since each character is torn between its past and its present, between its desires and its reality, and that the turmoil and confusion in time and space indicates uncertainty and instability of the self.
