Psychological Analysis of Khaled bin Tobal's personality in Ahlam Mostaghanmi 's novel "Zakirat Al-Jasad" based on Martin Seligman's theory

Considering the various aspects of a literary work is a characteristic of new literary criticisms that, using the latest achievements of the humanities, leave different dimensions and readings of literary works. Considering the diverse elements of the works, especially personality in psychology criticism, especially Martin Seligman's positive theory. Ahlam Mostaghanmi, the famous Zakar al -Jasd, depicts the problems of the newly reached independence of Algeria after French colonialism, The following article is aimed at psychological analysis of the personality element in this novel, The research method in this article was descriptive-analytical. At first, Zakirat al-Jasadi's novel was examined, then the parts related to the character of Khaled bin Tobal were adapted to the six virtues of the positive theory of Seligman.The results of the study suggest that Mostaghanmi has been able to reflect the component of courage with three images in Khalid's personality, Courage means inner power, meaning adherence to principles and values in adverse conditions and in the sense of resistance to inner fears and mental challenges; The self -control component in Khaled's character has been induced to the reader in three different forms, Self -control against the inappropriate love, the ability to maintain values against temptation, attempt to balance the two aspects of their personality, The component of humanity in the personality of Khaled has shown respect for others, sacrifice for comrades, and commitment to their friends and family, Khalid's justice has been shown in the form of struggle for freedom, hatred of cruel policies, and refused to accept ambitious posts. Khalid's character has been able to portray the element of transcendence in his effort to reach a higher level in his gratitude to God and to know the greatness of God.
