تُعَدّ فانتزية أدب الأطفال والمراهقين من التقنيات التي يعتمد عليها الكُتّاب للترفيه عن هذه الشريحة وسدّ حاجاتها الضرورية التي تتمثّل في تعزيز الخيال، والحثّ على التحلّي بمكارم الأخلاق، والشجاعة والحكمة. فمن القصص التي تتميز بوجهتها الفانتزية قصة "بدر البدور"، وهي قصة شعبية يكاد لايخلو منها أدب من الآداب. تستعرض هذه الدراسة وبالاعتماد على المنهج الوصفي-التحليلي وعلي أساس المدرسة الأمريكية في الأدب المقارن تستعرض الفانتازيا الفوقية في قصة "بدر البدور" العربية والفارسية، وتقارن بين نتاجات أربعة كتّاب من الفرس والعرب، وهم: فضل الله مهتدي وميترا بياتي (إيرانيّان)، ويعقوب الشاروني وكمال الكيلاني (عربيّان)؛ فمن خلال هذه االمقارنة تتمّ دراسة أوجه التشابه والاختلاف بين أنواع الفانتازيا الفوقية، مثل القوطي، والتربوي، والحيواني، والجني، والبحثي، والتمثيلي وغيرها. إنّ نتائج البحث تشير إلى أنّ القصص الفارسية في مجموعها هي أكثرُ خياليّة من القصص العربية، إذ تفوّقت عليها بنسبة7/4 بالمئة في توظيف أنواع الفانتازيا الفوقية؛ كما أن قصة "ماه پيشوني الفارسية" المبنية على الفولكلور قد ورد فيها 66 نوعاً من الفانتازيا، فلذا اتصفت بأكثر القصص خيالية من بين القصص المدروسة.
