The psychological analysis of literary works is one of the methods and approaches of modern literary criticism. This method which is pioneer in literary world has attracted so many researchers, and has led to the formation of so many worthy and worth mentioning works in this field. Character is one of the most important elements in formation of fictional works which has been considered seriously in psychological critique. Mahmoud Teymor, a well-known Egyptian writer, has circulated a lot of psychological atmosphere in his writings. He has memorized the beauty of the field with his own artistic techniques. Most of Mahmoud Teymor's fictional characters suffer from a variety of mental illnesses, which is a good basis for psychological analysis. The novel entitled Salva Fi Mahbe Al- Rih can be considered as one of the most prominent fictional works of Teymor's, that the protagonist suffers from a variety of mental disorders which is caused by the environment. The heroine of this story is a girl named Salva, who is at the center of the story and the incidents of the plot orbits around her. There are other sub-characters such as grandparent, mother, Sunnih, Zahiripasha, Hamdi and Sharif in this story. The present study, has addresses the psychological analysis of the hero's character with descriptive-analytical method by utilizing Henry Murray's psychological approach in this story. The results of this research show that the hero's needs, especially the need for succorance, have been effective in her life time and is manifested in her behavior and performance.
